Grangeville Senior Citizens

June 6: Pledge led by Stanley Modrell and prayer by Jim Myers. Free dinner drawing went to Dick Seay. Bingo winner was Roberta Gibbs, and blackout winner was Donna Barnett.

June 10: Pledge led by Stanley Modrell, prayer by Orville Biggers. Free dinner drawing went to Keturah Engbretson. Number of site meals: 74. Home delivery meals: 39 hot, 70 frozen. Bingo winner was Mel Willis, and blackout winner was Eileen Hazelbaker.

Menu for June 17: pork chops, baked potato, steamed carrots, warm cinnamon applesauce, chocolate cake.

Menu for June 20: meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, carrot raisin pineapple salad, peaches.

Pioneer Senior Citizens

Agnes Forsman opened the June 7 meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance and also led the dinner prayer.

Guests were Don and Marilyn Burris of Grangeville and Mary Crousser, a young gal who is one of the cooks from the Grangeville Senior Center who came over to help at our center. There were 54 meals served with 22 home- delivered meals. Marie Baune won the free dinner.

Katie Remacle, Diane Schultz and Ned Forsmann each shared a joke. Isabella Walsh won the nickel bingo pot and Judy Arledge and Sylvia Forsmann were blackout winners.

Door prize winners were Isabella Walsh, Ralph Sprute, Theresa Funke, Joanne Sonnen, Judy Arledge, Mary Ann Kuther and Theresa Sonnen.

Meals are noon at Cottonwood Community Church basement.

Menu for June 21: oven-fried chicken, mashed potatoes w/gravy, tossed vegetable salad, whole wheat roll, apricots.
