Including the $1,600 in added money as a Western States Ranch Rodeo Association event, the qualified ride ended up being worth more than $2,200 to Marek — the weekend’s single biggest payout.

Other big winners included Noah Bayes in bareback riding, Cody Allred in saddle bronc riding, Augie Robinson in tiedown roping, Rylee Pottenger in breakaway roping, Jacob Stacey and Caleb McMillan in team roping, Jordan Minor in barrel racing and, in local team roping, Doug Boggan and Kevin Botts.

Caleb McMillan also won the steer wrestling and so took the all-around cowboy honor.

Calf scramble winners were Noah Cereghino of Lucile, Ashton Beeson of Grangeville and Keaton Frei of Moscow — and Beeson won the older group (ages 8-12) both Friday and Saturday.
