Insurance help for wildfire survivors workshop set June 28 in Kamiah
KAMIAH – Insurance help for wildlife survivors is the topic of a Roadmap to Recovery workshop set Tuesday, June 28, Kamiah Fire Station on Main Street, starting at 6 p.m. Those property owners whose homes were damaged or destroyed are encouraged to attend.
Topics covered will be navigating your insurance claim, extending deadlines, recovering “held back” depreciation and full value on your property, and overcoming challenges around the one-year anniversary. Free copies of the Disaster Recovery Handbook and Household Inventory Guide will be available.
The workshop is presented by nonprofit organization, United Policyholders, in cooperation with the American Red Cross and WUNCCIL (2015 Wildfire Unmet Needs Committee for Clearwater, Idaho, Lewis Counties). For information: 800-286-5631 or email@example.com.
FSA county committee nominations are due Aug. 1
Nominations are currently being accepted for farmers and ranchers to serve on local Farm Service Agency (FSA) county committees. The nomination period opened June 15, and nominations are due to the USDA Service Center in Grangeville by Aug. 1
To be eligible to serve on a FSA county committee, a person must participate or cooperate in an FSA administered program, be eligible to vote in a county committee election and reside in the local administrative area where they are nominated.
Farmers and ranchers may nominate themselves or others. Organizations representing minorities and women also may nominate candidates.
