Cottonwood News: ‘True Image’ play set for this week at Summit

Donna Wassmuth Cottonwood 962-3561

May you have a grand Fourth! Let’s celebrate this great country of ours. We are so lucky to live on the Camas Prairie without the hub-bub of city life. The yellow canola fields are beautiful now, and the wheat and barley are starting to turn golden. They look beautiful also.

A Catholic Theatrical Performance is coming soon! True Image by M.G.R. Hattrup is a tale of mystery, betrayal, repentance, heroism and forgiveness, Pirates have stolen the sacred veil of St. Veronica from St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, 1608. Each character has his own reason for wanting it returned! Performances are set for Friday, July 1, 7 p.m., and Saturday, July 2, 1:30 and 7 p.m., at Summit Academy gym. Admission is by donation.

July 31 Mass will be in the Cottonwood City Park at 11 a.m. as part of the Tri-Parish picnic. All are invited. Mass in Greencreek that day will be at 8 a.m.

Congratulations to Fred “Fritz” Seubert who received the VFW Lifetime Achievement Award. We are proud to have you here in our community.

Also, congratulations to Larry Seubert for winning five gold medals and one silver medal at Lewis and Clark Summer Games. He competed in the 60-64 age group for swimming and bowling events.
