Republican and Constitution party’s primary elections are next Tuesday, March 8.

These are closed primaries, so voters will need to affiliate with either party to vote in its respective election. Affiliation can be completed at the Idaho County Courthouse, or at the polls on election day.

Democrats will hold a caucus March 22 to choose their presidential candidate.

Absentee voting is under way. Unregistered voters can register and vote at the courthouse up through March 4, as well as register and vote at the polls on election day.

Also under way is filing for open county and state elected offices. Petitions of candidacy can be picked up at the courthouse. Filing deadline is March 11.
