Cottonwood Senior Citizens

Dolores VonBargen opened the Feb. 23 meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance and Larry Clark led the dinner prayer. Guests this week were the Fiddlers. Also Tiffany Forsmann, our cook, brought her baby son, Drew, to show us. There were 63 meals served with 20 takeouts. Ed Wassmuth won the free dinner. Sharing jokes this week were Joyce Forsmann and Katie Remacle.

Dolores VonBargen won the nickel bingo pot and Mel Willis won the blackout. Door prize winners were Judy Arledge, Susie (Frei) McPherson, Joe Kuther, Dolores Kindall and Lenore Hill.

Come join us for a meal every Tuesday for a small donation at the Cottonwood Community Church basement. Meals are served at noon. Menu for March 8: tuna salad on lettuce, pasta salad, green beans, strawberry Jell-O w/mandarin oranges, whole wheat roll.

Grangeville Senior Center sets March 4, 7 lunch menus

GRANGEVILLE — At the last Grangeville Senior Citizens lunch, Nickel bingo winners were Eileen Hazelbaker, Mel Willis, Alta Clark and Willene Lance. The blackout winner was Eileen Hazelbaker.

The Senior Citizens Dollar A Month board meeting will be March 8 at 9 a.m.

The menu for March 4: meatloaf, mashed potatoes, brown gravy, green beans, carrot raisin salad, chilled peaches and birthdays were celebrated; March 7: sweet and sour chicken, rice, creamy coleslaw, orange juice, banana sundae.
