State Highway 13 was down to one lane last Friday afternoon, March 4, following a non-injury two-vehicle crash just east of the Grangeville city limits.

Two Grangeville men escaped injury following a two-vehicle rear-end collision accident last Friday afternoon, March 4, just east of Grangeville on State Highway 13.
According to Deputy Mike Brewster, Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, David Adkison was driving a 2012 Chevrolet pickup eastbound and had stopped to await an oncoming vehicle to pass before turning left into Stuivenga Vessey Well Drilling. Mike Kinsley was driving a 2001 GMC pickup eastbound and was distracted by his dog and, according to Brewster, when he looked up and saw Adkison’s Chevrolet in front of him it was too late to apply the brakes and struck the vehicle.
Seat belt use by both drivers was unknown. Brewster was assisted on scene by the Grangeville Police Department and Syringa Ambulance.
Residents injured in crash near Genesee
GENESEE – Two Idaho County residents were transported for medical treatment following a rollover crash Saturday morning near Genesee in Latah County.
Richie A. Anderson, 21, of Grangeville, and Samantha M. Lahman, age unavailable, of Kamiah, were taken to Gritman Medical Center. Patient status was unavailable. Neither was wearing a seat belt.
The March 5 incident was reported at 5:49 a.m. on U.S. Highway 95 at milepost 334, according to Idaho State Police (ISP). Anderson was driving a 1997 Ford Explorer northbound when he left the roadway off the left shoulder, and the vehicle rolled four to six times in the median, ejecting both occupants.
ISP is continuing its investigation.
