America is facing a massacre of its public lands similar to what Germany’s leaders did to the Jewish people when they were given power by the people. When the German people saw atrocious things happening in their country, most just looked the other way and did nothing. German people weren’t evil like the leaders taking over their lives, but sat back and did nothing except heil, heil. I observed this in later years living and working in dictator-controlled countries as Vietnam, Laos, Russia, Ukraine, etc. The people became part of the process by just going along with obstinate leaders doing to them, not for them!
I see similar events happening to America’s public lands due to the obsession of one political party that is presently preparing bills to do just that in Congress. If each one of its elected legislators was given a polygraph test, they would all flunk miserably on why they are doing this!
Idaho County Commissioners donated $10,000 county money to a Utah legislator and an investigation found one half of several hundred thousand dollars was kept for personal use. Idaho commissioners then take county funds to put in private account of a commissioner. Something is wrong.
Three Idaho legislators, senators Risch and Crapo, and Representative Labrador, all have signed onto trading/selling away our public lands. When you support these three, you are supporting the takeaway of your valuable public lands.
Outdoor recreation in Idaho on mostly public lands annually creates more than 77,000 jobs, $6.3 billion in consumer spending, $1.8 billion in wages and $461 million in state/local tax revenue according to Outdoor Industry Association. Now wouldn’t you think that even land takeaway freaks would consider this?
Idaho County and others, where one political party controls the system, your public lands may disappear because the majority is letting it happen. With outdoor recreation bringing in large economic benefits, public lands will soon be wiped out, no fishing, no hunting, no recreation, mass clearcuts and only posted signs.
Throw away the heil, heil and help save our public lands!
