Easter egg hunts set
Grangeville: The Eagles annual Easter Egg hunt is set for Saturday, March 26, 10 a.m., at Lions Park. Donations of plastic-filled eggs, candy and cash donations are currently being accepted. Call Yolanda at 983-2131 for pickup.
Ferdinand: An egg hunt is set for Saturday, March 26, 10 a.m., at the ball park.
Kamiah: Saturday, March 26, River Front Park, noon.
Kooskia: The egg hunt is set for Saturday, March 26, Kooskia City Park, 11 a.m. This is for ages up to 11. Bring a basket and fill it up.
Cottonwood : An Easter egg hunt is set for Saturday, March 26, 10 a.m., Cottonwood City Park. Age groups include 0-4, 5-8 and 9-12 years. This is sponsored by the Prairie FFA and various donors.
Elk City: Saturday, March 26, 11 a.m.
Riggins: Salmon River Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, March 26, noon at Riggins Elementary School. Age groups: birth-2 years; 3 years-kindergarten; first-second grade; third-fourth grade. There will also be gold eggs to win a big Easter basket; silver eggs to win a big stuffed animal; chocolate bunny eggs to win a big chocolate bunny; money egg to win $5. Return eggs to collect your prizes; every egg is filled with something… and each child will receive 50 cents as well.
White Bird: The annual Easter egg hunt is set for Saturday, March 26, 10 a.m., and is for toddlers through grade six. The Easter bunny will make an appearance at the old White Bird School lawn. Organizers are Cody and Renee Farmer and volunteers are sought. Call 839-2395. Donations also sought and can be dropped off at Canyon House, Silver Dollar and Red’s River Café. Mail checks to the Farmers at P.O. Box 90. On the way to the hunt, stop by the IOOF Hall where the Rebekahs will offer pies, cakes, cookies and more at their annual bake sale.
Easter services scheduled
•Maundy Thursday Service at the Grangeville United Methodist Church, 404 West Main Street, Grangeville, will be held Thursday March 24, 7 p.m., which will include a foot washing ceremony and Communion. All are welcome, see the Facebook page for more information.
Easter worship service is set for Sunday, March 27, 11 a.m., with special music by the church choir.
•Grangeville Church of the Nazarene will host its Easter service Sunday, March 27, 9 a.m., followed by an Easter egg hunt for children at approximately 10:15 a.m.
•Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on Hall Sttreet will offer a Good Friday service March 25, 3 p.m., and an Easter morning service at 10 a.m.
•The Grangeville Christian Reformed Church located on 4th and N. Junction streets will be having a Good Friday Evening Service March 25 at 7 p.m. The Easter Sunday service will begin at 10 a.m. followed by refreshments. The community is welcome to attend. Call Pastor Michael at 983-1213.
•An Easter Sunday Gospel sing session is set for Sunday, March 27, 5:30 p.m., at the Gospel Light Church in Stites. Everyone welcome.
•Pleasant View Baptist Church will hold its annual Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. at the Battlefield Lookout on the White Bird grade. Everyone is welcome. A free breakfrast follows immediately at the church at 8 a.m., with worship service early for Easter at 9 a.m.
