Felonies charged in meth possession, aggravated battery

Riggins woman charged with felony meth possession

RIGGINS — An April 8 preliminary hearing is set for Kirstine A. Brundage, 34, of Riggins, for felony possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and misdemeanor resisting arrest.

Brundage was arrested last Friday, March 25, after she was observed accidentally dropping a small plastic baggie in the parking lot at the Riggins Chevron, according to court documents. Contacted by Idaho County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Brewster, Brundage denied the item was hers and allegedly became physically and verbally uncooperative when placed under arrest.

ICSO testing confirmed the substance was meth, weighing 1.2 grams.

Kamiah man charged with felony aggravated battery

KAMIAH — Jason S. Bashaw, 37, of Kamiah, is scheduled for an April 5 preliminary hearing on charges of felony aggravated battery and misdemeanor malicious injury to property.

Charges resulted from a March 21 incident that occurred on Ridgewood Road in which Bashaw is alleged to have beat the victim, Jeff Parsons III, with a wood club several times, during which he also struck and damaged Parson’s vehicle. Bashaw stated he admitted to grabbing the victim through the open driver’s side truck window but denied striking him with his fist or the club.

Idaho County Sheriff’s Deputy Craig Hoodman investigated the incident.
