Giddings: dedicated, focused, committed

Letter to the Editor

Any astute Idaho citizen will certainly agree that our federal government is in chaos and Americans are suffering as a result. While the State of Idaho is not in as much chaos, we have our share. The federal government is overreaching into our lives and our resources. Examples are the recent re-designation of our Salmon River giving bureaucrats more opportunity to restrict our use of the river or establish use by permit only. The USFS is eliminating more and more of our access to our lands for the uses we have historically enjoyed. The BLM is clearly not a friend to citizens who need to use our lands to make their living.  Do our state’s rights have any muscle now?  I think not.

We need to make use of our votes to put in place state representatives who have the courage to exercise our rights and defend us from federal mandates and oppressive regulatory interference with our lives. We clearly need well-educated, intelligent, insightful, God-fearing and dedicated patriots in our state legislature. We need people who will resist the insiders who would dictate our rights rather than respect our Constitution and our State Constitution. There is one such individual who is a candidate for office this year.

This young woman is an Air Force Academy graduate. She is a combat veteran with about 100 combat missions. She has seen what happens to people who lose their rights to oppressive governments. I find her articulate, dedicated, focused and committed to the betterment of Idaho for all of its citizens.

Idaho needs this patriotic woman working to represent all of us defending our rights and our way of life. Idaho needs Priscilla Giddings.  Vote to elect her to state representative for District 7A.
