— Driving, traveling and going places is in our blood. We love to get in a vehicle, get on a motorcycle or ATV, get on a horse or ... and going. Sometimes the trip is amazing and everything works out as planned. We love it when a plan comes together! We are people who are going somewhere, and we are going to do some things when we get there.

Everything we travel in/on has a steering mechanism. Sometimes we make gradual easy turns to navigate down the route. Other times we come to dead ends, or discover we are traveling the wrong direction and we need to make a turnaround.

I have been on mountain roads that twist and wind around and then pop out in amazing places and connect to other roads that take me to wonderful destinations. I have also been on roads that take me in the wrong direction, get me stuck or are dead ends. It is in those times that we grab the steering wheel a little tighter and look for a turnaround.

Here is a cool thing about God, He loves turnarounds! God is so full of mercy, love, patience and belief in us. He would die for us ... wait ... He did die for us. Think about many of the people in God’s story who achieved and succeeded. They didn’t start out great or they didn’t stay great every day, so many of them had to make big turnarounds. Moses did. Rahab and Ruth did. Paul did. Even the death and resurrection of Jesus on the cross was a huge turnaround that one moment looked like defeat but ended up being the biggest victory of all time! If you are stuck or have been going the wrong way, it is time for a big turnaround. Just grab the hand of Jesus and follow His lead. He knows how to get you from here to where you need to be. He specializes in big turnarounds!
