Gortsema to speak at Thursday, May 5, Encouragers meeting

— Melani Gortsema will speak on “Finding Peace” at the Encouragers meeting set for 11:30 a.m., Thursday, May 5, at Oscar’s Restaurant. The National Day of Prayer will also be observed. Those who wish may attend the National Day of Prayer observance on the courthouse steps at noon.

Gortsema has been married to her husband, Dave, for 35 years, and has two young adult sons, Tyler and Austin. She operates a daycare in her home, Gortsema Babysitting Services. She is active in the Grangeville Church of the Nazarene, directing the choir, leading and participating in the music worship ministry and leading music for “God’s Girls” meetings. She also works with children in music. She will also provide music at the Encouragers meeting.

The first-Thursday no-host luncheon Christian group meets at 101 E. Main each month in Grangeville. All are welcome.
