Grangeville Senior Citizens

Oct. 24 – pledge, Stan Modrell; prayer, Shirley Crane; free dinner, Wanda Pilant; meals at site: 56 with 35 home-delivered; nickel Bingo winner, Donna Barnett; blackout winners, Dolores Kindall, Jim Barnett.

Oct. 28 – pledge, Stan Modrell; prayer, Jim Myers; free dinner, Mel Willis; meals at site: 53 with 34 hot and 63 frozen home-deliveries; guests: Gary Crea, Diane Allen, Rhonda Clair. Pinochle winners: 1, Roberta Gibbs; 2, Eileen Hazelbaker; 3, Mel Willis; 4, Irene Simons.

Menu: Nov. 4 – Happy Birthday, chicken and noodles, green beans, pickled beets, orange wedge, sugar cookie; Nov. 7 – tamale casserole, refried beans, steamed carrots, fruit cup.

Pioneer Senior Citizens

Agnes Forsman opened the Oct. 25 meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance and Elred Nuxoll led the dinner prayer. There were 62 meals served with 14 home-deliveries. Elred Nuxoll won the free meal.

Diane Schultz and Francis Ellworth each shared a joke with the group. Agnes Forsman won the nickel bingo pot and Dolores Kindall and Judy and Bob Arledge were blackout winners. Door prize winners were Sharalyn Forsmann, Sue Johnson, Norma Schumacher, Sylvia Forsmann, Mariel Arnzen, Ingrid Mader and Judy Arledge.

Come join us for a meal every Tuesday for a small donation at the Pioneer Senior Center in the Cottonwood Community Hall basement. Meals are served at noon.

Menu for Nov. 8, Election Day: Steak, Mashed Potatoes w/Brown Gravy, Green Beans, Carrot, Raisin and Pineapple Salad, Peach Cobbler.

3 Rivers Amateur Radio Club

At the October meeting we held a tribute to our friend and founding member Jim Hisaw - KC7NN. Jim passed away the end of September. We also decided to hold the December Christmas party in the back room of the Pizza Factory in Kamiah. Please let Lorinda Duclearque know at the November meeting if you plan on attending so she can give a count to the restaurant. At the November meeting we will discuss the upcoming “Talk to Santa” event. After the business portion of the meeting we will have a technical program.

The next meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the meeting room at the Kamiah KOA (former Lewis and Clark Resort) on U.S. Highway 12, two miles east of Kamiah at 6:30 p.m. License examinations will be given at 5:30 p.m. Don’t forget to vote before the meeting.
