Free community Thanksgiving dinner set for Grangeville

GRANGEVILLE — The Grangeville Church of the Nazarene Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at Grangeville Elementary Middle School Sunday, Nov. 20, 2 p.m. The community is encouraged to attend with the meal provided by the church.

Buy Local gift fair set for Nov. 19 in Cottonwood

COTTONWOOD – A “Buy Local” gift fair is set for Saturday, Nov. 19, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Cottonwood Community Hall

This event is open to the public and will include craft vendors, direct sales, soup and sweets. Call Megan Crea at 553-8431.

Grangeville annual tree lighting is Nov. 26

GRANGEVILLE — The ninth annual Grangeville Horizons Recreation tree lighting of Pioneer Park is set for Saturday, Nov. 26, 5 p.m. Santa will come in on the fire truck and local music will be part of the evening. For details: Terra Hill, 983-1486.

Sacred Heart bazaar set for Lapwai Nov. 20

LAPWAI – Sacred Heart Parish will hold its bazaar Sunday, Nov. 20, 203 Birch Avenue in Lapwai, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This includes a barbecue salmon or ham dinner with green beans, salad bar, scalloped potatoes, rolls, fry bread and pie or cake.

Many vendors will offer craft and baked items and children’s games and activities are set.

Cost for adults is $10; age 5-12, $4; and younger than 4, free.

‘Little Red Hen’ to be presented Nov. 18

GRANGEVILLE — Cornerstone Christian Learning Center will present the play “The Little Red Hen,” Friday, Nov. 18, 6:30 p.m.

The play will be presented by the preschool and kindergarten classes at the Grangeville Church of the Nazarene, 515 W. N. 2nd Street, in the fellowship hall. All are invited to attend. There is no cost; however, donations will be accepted for the school.

4-H group to host bake sale, take pie orders

GRANGEVILLE – Lively Livestock 4-H Club will be host to a bake sale Saturday, Nov. 19, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Asker’s Harvest Foods. They will be taking pie orders for Thanksgiving on the day of the bake sale, as well.

Clearwater Meal Center luncheon set for Nov. 16

CLEARWATER — The Clearwater Meal Center’s next luncheon is set for Wednesday, Nov. 16, noon. Meals are served the first and third Wednesdays of each month at the Clearwater Baptist Church. No charge for the luncheon, $5 donation appreciated when possible.

Bingo set for Friday in Kamiah Nov. 18

KAMIAH – American Legion Post 75 in Kamiah will host Bingo at the hall, 618 Main Street, this Friday, Nov. 18, 7:30 p.m.
