Grangeville Senior Citizens

Nov. 7 – pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Jim Myers; free dinner, Gary Crea; meals at site – 82 with 34 home-delivered; guests: Andrew Riener, Kathy Dice, Michael Riener, Suzanne Acton, Willie Acton; Bingo and blackout winner, Jim Barnett.

Nov. 11 – pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Tom Helmick; meals at site – 54 with 32 hot and 58 frozen home-deliveries; pinochle winners: 1, Roberta Gibbs; 2, Eileen Hazelbaker; 3, Beth Parrish; 4, Dolores Kindall.

Menu – Nov. 18: (fiddlers) meat loaf, mashed potates and gravy, green beans, carrot raisin pineapple salad, chilled peaches; Nov. 21 (Happy Thanksgiving) roast turkey, sweet potatoes, green beans, autumn fruit salad w/lemon poppy seed dressing, gingerbread.

Pioneer Senior Citizens

Agnes Forsman opened the Nov. 8 meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance and Larry Clark led the dinner prayer. Guests in attendance were Joe & Diane Didier, Lily & Bob Schultz, Mike Riener & Kathy Dice and Andy Riener. There were 96 meals served with 13 home-deliveries. Emelia Frei won the free meal. Diane Schultz shared a joke with the group.

Peg Uhlorn had a lucky day in Bingo as she won both the nickel pot and the blackout. Door prize winners were Anna Gehring, Andy Riener, Sharalyn Forsmann, Donna Barnett, Vera Holthaus and Darlene Clark.

Come join us for a meal every Tuesday for a small donation at the Pioneer Senior Center in the Cottonwood Community Hall basement. Meals are served at noon.

Menu for Nov. 22: Thanksgiving Dinner - Roast Turkey w/Brown Gravy, Bread Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Peas, Sliced Oranges. This will also be the birthday meeting and the Fiddlers will be performing for us.
