Patchwork Bazaar set for Orofino

OROFINO – The Patchwork Bazaar is set for Saturday, Dec. 3, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Orofino Junior-Senior High School.

The event is sponsored by the Orofino branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women), and proceeds will benefit local scholarships and activities. For information: Jo Sharrai, 476-3320.

Encouragers party is Thursday

GRANGEVILLE — Encouragers will host their annual Christmas party Thursday, Dec. 1, at 11:30 a.m., at Oscar’s Restaurant in Grangeville. The monthly no-host luncheon will feature Christmas music by Myra Pierce, Pat Hunter, Carol Schmidt and others.

Carol singing and a white elephant (good garage sale item) gift exchange are planned.

All are welcome to this regular first Thursday of the month informal gathering for Christian fellowship, and presentations by various speakers, panels and musicians. Meetings are at 101 E. Main.

Book Fair set for GEMS

GRANGEVILLE — Reading is Sweet at the Grangeville Elementary Middle School book fair.

The book fair will be open Saturday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., as well as Monday through Thursday, Dec. 5 through 8, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., and Friday, Dec. 9, from 8 a.m., until 1 p.m.

Bulldog football banquet is Dec. 1

GRANGEVILLE — Grangeville Bulldogs have wrapped up their football season and it’s time to share some stories, laughs and spaghetti at the football banquet on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m., in the GHS cafeteria. Bingo on tap in Kamiah Friday

KAMIAH – American Legion Post No. 75 will host Bingo this Friday, Dec. 2, 7:30 p.m., at the American Legion Hall at 618 Main Street. Call 935-0294.

Summit veterans program is Thursday

COTTONWOOD — All veterans and their families are invited to Summit Academy this Thursday, Dec. 1, 10:30 a.m., for a veterans presentation. Students in kindergarten through seventh grade will present a variety of songs, speeches and poems in honor of all veterans.

A free lunch for guests will follow the presentation.
