Kamiah lighted parade is Friday' Event includes kiddie parade

— The Kamiah Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Kamiah Chamber of Commerce will be presenting the annual Christmas Light Parade Friday, Dec. 2. Anyone may enter a lighted float big or small. Information and entry forms are available at the Kamiah Chamber Welcome Center or at on the event calendar page. Due to the road work, the parade lineup will at on Idaho Street near the Catholic church and city pool beginning at 5:30 p.m. A children’s flashlight serpentine parade will precede the light parade. Children should dress warmly and bring their own flashlight. Parents are welcome to walk with the children. The children’s parade will line up at the American Legion Hall beginning at 5:45 p.m. Both parades will begin at 6 p.m., and prizes will be awarded for the best lighted floats. Following the parade, Santa will be on hand at the Chamber Welcome Center to visit with children.

The Kamiah Elementary PTO will be selling treats, chili and hot drinks at the Chamber Welcome Center throughout the evening. There will also be face painting available at the Welcome Center. P1FCU will have a booth in front of the Fire Dept beginning at 5:30 p.m. They invite children of all ages, including adults, to try their giant Connect 4 game and they will have fun prizes for visiting their booth.
