Giddings: protecting constitutional rights

Letter to the Editor

Sheriff Doug Giddings is a constitutional sheriff. If you don’t know what that is, perhaps you should find out. Sheriff Giddings has been protecting our constitution rights for the past eight years. If you want to give up your rights, then vote for his opponent, who, by the way, is on administrative leave because the honorable thing to do when running against your sheriff is to resign from your position. Evidently Mr. Martinez is not honorable.

And when Shelly Andrews made accusations against the Sheriff and his deputies in last week’s letters and then said she had no proof, it only meant that she was spreading unfounded rumors. Shame on you, Shelly Andrews. As for me, I plan on voting for Sheriff Giddings this year and any other years he plans on running because I like my constitutional rights being protected by a constitutional sheriff.
