Three Whitepine League district volleyball seeds are set in the upper division, and four are firmed up in the lower division.
The 1AD1 District II tournament will feature top seed Troy in in the semifinals by default, with second seed Genesee and third seed Prairie to play quarterfinal games against opponents still to be determined as of Oct. 11.
Final seeding will depend on the outcome of Prairie’s Oct. 13 home match against Potlatch, as the 5-6 Loggers split with 5-6 Lapwai earlier in the regular season.
Clearwater Valley and Kamiah seedings depended on the outcome of an Oct. 11 match, too late for the print deadline, at Kamiah.
The tournament opener is slated at 11 a.m. on Oct. 15, with action continuing on two nets deep into the evening. Prairie is slated to play at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the tournament set to continue Oct. 17, 18 and 19.
The 1AD2 tier of the district tournament features Kendrick and Logos awaiting unknown opponents on Oct. 15.
At 2:30 p.m. at LCSC, Summit will take on the winner of the play-in game and with a win would face Logos at 5:30 p.m.
Central Idaho League hits Genesee Oct. 18
Grangeville is set to play at 4 p.m. next Tuesday, Oct. 18, when the Central Idaho League tournament opens in Genesee.
Tournament action will continue on Oct. 20.
Grangeville’s regular season ends Saturday
GRANGEVILLE — The Bulldogs have two Central Idaho League dates remaining in their regular season, with a trip to Orofino on deck tonight, Oct. 12. Grangeville is set to host St. Maries at 2 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 15.
