Grangeville Senior Citizens

Oct. 3 – pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Shirley Crane; free dinner, Glenn Suhr.

Meals at site: 67 with 35 hot home-deliveries.

Bingo winner, Carla Ketola; blackout winner, Roberta Gibbs; other news: Mike and Terry Wisdom, 42nd anniversary.

Oct. 7 – pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Barbara Essen; free dinner, Marlene Hicks.

Meals at site: 60, with 38 hot and 55 frozen home-deliveries.

Pinochle winners: Roberta Gibb, Eileen Hazelbaker, Mel Willis.

Other news: board meeting changed to Oct. 18 at 9 a.m.; pinochle every Friday at 1 p.m., everyone welcome.

Menus: Oct. 14 – Chinese stir fry, rice, cucumber in vinegar, peaches, peanut butter cookie.

Oct. 17 – roast turkey, tossed veggie salad/Caesar dressing, sliced tomatoes, potato salad, fruit cup, apple bread pudding.

Pioneer Senior Citizens

Hilda Nuttman opened the Oct. 4 meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance, and Larry Clark led the dinner prayer.

There were 55 meals served with 19 home-deliveries. Sharalyn Forsmann won the free meal.

Diane Schultz and Anna Gehring each shared a joke. Marianne Wren won the nickel Bingo pot, while Susie McPherson won the blackout.

Door prize winners: Gen Broker, Mary Ann Kuther, Amelia Frei, Margie Schumacher and Elred Nuxoll.

Join us for a meal every Tuesday for a small donation at the Pioneer Senior Center in the Cottonwood Community Hall basement. Meals are served at noon.

Menu for Oct. 18: lasagna, green salad, cherry cobbler.
