— The Dixie Diggins Newsletter is out and is full of the news of happenings in Dixie this past summer. The newsletter expressed their (Dixie’s residents) appreciation for the support of the surrounding communities. Dixie Days is the only fund-raiser for their Community Center. The letter also details information on other happenings around town and with town folks. Email me if you want to find out how to receive this newsletter.

Get ready for Elk City School’s First Annual Trunk-Or-Treat on Monday, Oct. 31, starting at 5:15 p.m., in the school parking lot. You are invited to come and decorate your car, truck, 4-wheeler or table for Elk City kids to come around and trick-or-treat safely. Decorating can start at 3 p.m

The school kids will be voting for best decorated vehicle or table. Then you will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite pumpkin carved by the kids. This doesn’t take the place of the kids going trick-or-treating on their own later that night.
