Jet Boater’s Winter Ball is Dec. 10
RIGGINS — Jet Boater’s Winter Ball, fund-raiser for the 2017 Salmon River Jet Boat Race and sponsored by Salmon River Catering, Seven Devils Steakhouse and Saloon, and Idaho Banana Co., will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Riggins Community Center. This is a chance to dust off your fancy duds and dance to Joaquin, Verna, and Dave. No host cocktail hour begins at 7 p.m.; dinner of prime rib and devil’s shrimp at 7 p.m.; dance 8:30 to midnight. Cost is $40 per person. Call 628-3322 or 628-3615 to RSVP. Dance is open to the public at 8:30, $10 per person.

America’s Capitol Christmas Tree 2016 for Washington D.C. will be a mighty spruce from the Payette National Forest in Idaho which will be toured throughout Idaho in November. It will be displayed in Boise Monday, Nov. 7, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Idaho State Capitol. For local folks, it will be on display in New Meadows Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 9 – 10 a.m. at 101 Virginia Street, then pass through Riggins on its way to Grangeville where it will be displayed from 1 – 3 p.m. at Grangeville Air Center. Guess we’ll see it in Riggins as it travels north through Riggins on Highway 95.
Riggins Christmas Bazaar 2016 will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Riggins Community Center, 121 S. Lodge Street.
