What do I want to accomplish this month? Are my actions in line with my goals?”

Cultivating balance is a beautiful and necessary thing that also takes daily practice and a commitment to yourself.

“When I practice cultivating balance in my life,” she said, “I focus on three things: mind, body and spirit.”

Mind: Am I reading things that challenge my thinking? Is it uplifting and encouraging? Am I mindlessly watching junk TV? Or do I consciously choose programing that I find interesting and informative?

Body: Have I been nurturing my body? Do I eat whole, real foods, or do I consume artificial, pre-packaged food-like substances? Am I getting the exercise my body needs? Do I move, lift and strengthen my body or am I neglecting it by staying static? Does my body need rest or sleep? Do I listen to it, or ignore it by consuming false energy like caffeine or sugar?

Spirit: Am I participating in a spiritual practice in line with my beliefs? Do I take the time to be still and listen? Do I treat others and myself with kindness, or do I ignore our value in this world?
