Grangeville Senior Citizens

Sept. 12: pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Barbara Essen; free dinner, Frank Hausladen; meals at site: 70, and home-delivery of 35; Bingo winner, Donna Barnett; blackout winner, Donna Barnett; other, blood pressure test by Jenny Hansen and Renie Stevens.

Sept. 16: pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Shirley Crane; free dinner, Harry Lyons; meals at site: 80, and home-delivery of 39 hot and 48 frozen.

Menu: Sept. 23 – ham, yams, green beans, green salad/cranberries, balsamic vinegar, pineapple Bavarian crème; Sept. 26 – hot roast beef sandwich, mashed potatoes, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, watermelon.

Pioneer Senior Citizens

Agnes Forsman opened the Sept. 13 meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance and Elred Nuxoll led the dinner prayer. Guests were Francis and Netta Ellsworth and Carol Martin. There were 63 meals served with 20 home-deliveries. Vera Holthaus won the free dinner.

Katie Remacle and Chris Remacle each shared a joke with the group. Agnes Forsman and Dolores Kindall split the nickel bingo pot while Dolores Kindall won the blackout. Door prize winners were Sharalyn Forsmann, Marianne Wren, Sally Arnzen, Carol Martin, Dolores VonBargen and Darlene Clark.

Menu for Sept: 27 - Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes w/Brown Gravy, California Blend Vegetables, Sliced Tomatoes, Chilled Peaches, Vanilla Pudding. This is also the birthday meeting and welcome back to the fiddlers.
