US12 emphasis patrols result in felony arrest, multiple citations

"This was a successful emphasis patrol”



Several citations were issued, including one felony charge, in continued emphasis patrols along U.S. Highway 12 by the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a department release, ICSO deputies and narcotic detection canine “Nation” acted on citizen complaints in emphasis patrols July 21-22 at several US12 locations including Weir and Jerry Johnson hot springs, and several campgrounds.

"This was a successful emphasis patrol,” according to ICSO Lt. Doug Ulmer. “The deputies contacted a lot of people, made an arrest, issued a few citations and got some drugs off the streets".

Camila A. Grespan, 26, of Albany, Calif., was arrested at Weir Hot Springs for felony possession of cocaine, and misdemeanors possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Citations were issued to the following:

  • Christopher Castillo, 27, of Brea, Calif., cited for possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and pedestrian under the influence.
  • Brian R. Wilkinson, 42, of Oceano, Calif., cited for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
  • Darin D. Zick, 45, of Whitefish, Mont., cited for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
  • William P. Harlow III, 40, of Missoula, Mont., cited for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
  • Leanna E. Terry, 46, of Missoula, cited for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Additionally, deputies worked two non-injury accidents and issued multiple citations for traffic violations.
