ELK CITY Another Elk City Days is in the books (Aug. 11 and 12). Hope you enjoyed all of the activities. For those of you who couldn’t make it, here are a couple of photos. The first one is of our grand marshals – Jeff and Nita Maxwell. The kids were especially fun. Just look at the two miners!
The Little Miners was one of the three first place winners. They are brothers Logan (left) and Tristan (right) Geyer, grandsons of Kathy and Greg Coon.
The other two first place winners were Izzy Tow and Kylea Clemenhagen as backpacker/ fishergirls (cousins and granddaughters of Shala Rowen and daughters of Savannah Thompson and Sarah Clemenhagen), and William and Eva Stibal, huckleberry pickers (children of Sage and Alyssa Stibal).
Second place winners are the Logger, Keagen Slover (see photo), Nora and Natalee Lamar taking a ride down Main Street in the new car (see photo), and Trevor Foster as Two Feathers (see photo).
Third places went to Kaidin Slover, cowgirl, and Sophia Collins as an Indian.
Tug-o-war winners were: Team captain Carilina Rayes and members Hayden York, Karl Phillips and Arron MacMeniman.
