Read the verses, prove me wrong

Letters to the Editor

In response to the letter of Aug. 16, based on an Aug. 9 letter:

Please read all Bible verses, prove me wrong: Eph. 5:10, I Thes. 5:21, I John 4:1-3, Philip 4:4-9.

From the beginning of this country through the ‘50s, the majority honored God.

Colossians 2:14 does not mean that the commandments of God were nailed to the cross. It means Jesus Christ paid the debts in blood for all mankind: John 14:15, 21, 15:9-10, Acts 17:30, Rev. 22:14, Matt 5:17-19.

Romans 6:15. You’re under grace by faith in Jesus Christ and by keeping God’s laws. They are a guide, outline, tutor for the way you should live. Luke 11:28, Gal. 3:17-24, Rev. 14:12. Our government has helped the poor, needy; now a way of life. This is a form of slavery: II Thess. 3:10.

Slavery will be here when Jesus Christ returns: Rev. 13:16. Slavery in all its forms: desires, habits, influences or bondage; mostly, it comes from coveting. Gambling is done daily: cards, dice, lotteries, etc.: Ex. 20:17, Jeremiah 23.

Those people who want to do away with God’s laws want to live their way, not God’s way. The one that stands out is the fourth commandment to keep the sabbath (Saturday): Gen. 1 and 2, Dan. 7:25.

Time is short. Be warned. Read these: Lev. 26, Deut. 28, Rev. 13:11-18; God’s mark/sign Ex. 13:9, Deut. 6:1-8, Prov. 6:20-23.
