— My quote for the week is “The greatest gift you can give someone is your time. Because, when you give your time, you are giving a portion of your life that you will never get back, but you are sharing it with someone you care about.”

The Riggins Salmon Run, sponsored by the Salmon River Chamber of Commerce, takes place on the Big Salmon River Road along the banks of the Salmon River, and is a family event. The Run is next Saturday, Sept. 9. The 5k-$25, 10k-$35, or 13.1-$45. Register now at www.raceentry.com/races/riggins-salmon-run/2017/register. I will not be running, but I will be announcing the events of the day and recognizing each runner as he/she crosses the finish line. The organizers of the run say, “Run with us! Run happy, run grumpy, run speedy, run slow, run a little, run a lot, just run!” Contact Mariah Crump for more info on this great race along our beautiful Salmon River.
