GRANGEVILLE The GHS boys started fast Saturday night, Dec. 2, and had nearly all the points they would need to win on the board by the start of the fourth quarter of a 71-51 blowout win over McCall.
Noah Kaschmitter scored the first hoop of the contest and Blake Darr -- the GHS high scorer with 19 on the night -- sank a three-pointer in the right wing corner on an inbound play. The Bulldogs extended the early lead to 9-2 on a fast break layup by Trey Dreadfulwater, who finished with 13. The lead reached 14 late in the first, when Jacob Vanderwall scored from short range, and the lead reached 16 before halftime. Kaschmitter and Colby Kennedy finished with 10 points apiece.
Coming - Grangeville is set to play Dec. 9 at Weiser. The annual Idaho County Shootout is scheduled for Dec. 15 at Prairie High School.
