SEATTLE Kristina Marie Uhlenkott, daughter of Chuck and Kerry Uhlenkott of Cottonwood, Idaho, and Joe William Gervais, son of Ed and Louise Gervais of Seattle, Wash., were joined in holy matrimony during a nuptial Mass on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017.
The ceremony was held at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Seattle with Father Mark Uhlenkott, brother of the bride, officiating. Father Brad Neely, and Father David Mulholl, and friends of the bride’s family concelebrated.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was attended by her sister, Rachel Uhlenkott, as maid of honor and her friends Mary Humbert, Kristin Heider, Mariann Hughes, Heather Bruschwein, and Jacinta Rupprecht as bridesmaids.
The best man was JD Dobson, friend of the groom. Glenn Gervais, Marc Gervais, Edd Gervais, all brothers of the groom, and Nick Saunders, another friend of the groom served as groomsmen.
All of the bride’s seven siblings and the groom’s six siblings and most of their nieces and nephews joyfully attended the wedding along with other extended family and friends.
The reception was held at Craven Farm in Snohomish, Wash., and enjoyed by all.
The bride graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a bachelor’s in nursing and is presently employed as an ICU nurse at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The groom graduated from University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in physiology and a master’s degree in public health. He is presently a senior account manager employed by Leverage Information Systems of Seattle, an enterprise network company providing software and hardware solutions.
After hiking and biking more than 350 miles on a pilgrimage to Santiago Compostella in Spain, they are now residing in Seattle.
