Clearwater Meal Center luncheon set for today, Dec. 20

CLEARWATER – The Clearwater Meal Center’s next luncheon is set for Wednesday, Dec. 20, noon. Meals are served the first and third Wednesdays of each month at the Clearwater Baptist Church.

No charge for the luncheon, $5 donation appreciated when possible. All are welcome. Call 208-926-7776.

Community breakfast at St. Catherine’s in Kamiah

KAMIAH — The free monthly community breakfast at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church will be held Wednesday, Dec. 27, from 8:30-10 a.m. Breakfasts are held every month on the last Wednesday of each month.

St. Catherine’s Catholic Church is located at 7th and Idaho streets in Kamiah. The breakfast this month will be French toast, scrambled eggs, coffee, orange juice and friendly conversation. St. Catherine’s invites all in the community.

Chronic Pain Self Management group to meet in January, February

GRANGEVILLE — The Partnership for Healthy Communities in conjunction with CHAS is offering the Chronic Pain Self-Management Program Jan. 18 – Feb. 22, Thursdays, 1-3:30 p.m., at the Soltman Center in Grangeville. Register by calling Renee at 208-400-0026 or Maja at 208-983-8590.

Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline celebrates five years

The Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline (ISPH) celebrates five years of continuous operations this month. ISPH launched on Nov. 26, 2012, and has grown steadily ever since, adding shifts to achieve 24/7 phone response in 2014.

ISPH implemented a combined local voice and crisis text line, 208-398-4357 (HELP) in 2016, and will now respond to crisis chats via its web portal, Crisis chat response hours will be the same as current crisis text response hours: Monday-Friday, 3 p.m.- Midnight, with expanded hours as staffing levels permit.
