The Grangeville High School football team had four players named to the all-state football teams by 2A coaches, the Idaho Statesman reported last week.
First-team offensive players included quarterback Tescher Harris (1,843 passing yards, 25 touchdown passes), wide receiver Booker Bush (1,385 receiving yards, 15 touchdowns) and tight end Brandon Stump (38 catches and 7 touchdowns).
First-team defensive end Noah Kaschmitter, who had eight sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss, was also named second-team running back.
Zach Forsmann (offensive line) and Justin Fogleman (line backer) also received second-team recognition.
The 1AD1 coaches named Prairie program head Ryan Hasselstrom “coach of the year” and tabbed four Pirates players as first-teamers.
Running back Jacob Stubbers (1,332 yards, 19 scores) was also named a second-team defensive back, and offensive lineman Jace Perrin, defensive lineman Spencer Schumacher and linebacker Caleb McWilliams rounded out the first-team picks. Also named second-team were offensive lineman Dereck Arnzen and linebacker Owen Anderson.
Salmon River’s Canyon Harper (244 carries for 2,192 yards, 26 scores) was named first-team on both offense and defense at the 1AD2 level. Offensive lineman Joe Fredrickson was named second-team.
