Grangeville Senior Citizens

Feb. 6 – pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Tom Helmick; free dinner: Charlene Schumacher; meals at site: 54 with 30 home-deliveries; guests: Richard Cramer, Penny Whillham.

Feb. 11 – pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Shirley Crane; free dinner, Juanita Seay; meals at site: 87 with 34 hot and 53 frozen home-deliveries.

Pinochle winners: 1, Beth Parish, 2, Dolores Kindall, 3, Roberta Gibbs; 12 players and two beginners.

Menu: Feb. 17 – (fiddlers here) Salisbury steak/brown gravy, orange glazed carrots, parslied red potatoes, lime fruit salad, pineapple juice; Feb. 20 (Presidents’ Day) – roasted honey pork roast, roasted vegetables, green beans, pears.

Pioneer Senior Citizens

At the Feb. 7 meeting, Dolores VonBargen again opened the meeting with the Pledge and led the dinner prayer. There were 44 meals served and 20 takeouts. Lorraine Nuxoll won the free dinner.

Jokes were shared by Dolores VonBargen and Susie McPherson. Vera Holthaus won the nickel Bingo and Eleanor Hinkelman won the blackout. Door prize winners were Irene Terhaar, Doris Sonnen, Emelia Frei, Dolores Kindall and Reggie Kaschmitter. It was Irene Terhaar’s birthday.

Come join us for a meal every Tuesday for a small donation at the Pioneer Senior Center in the Cottonwood Community Hall basement. Meals are served at noon.

Menu for Feb. 21: Broccoli Cheese Casserole, Steamed Corn, Brown Rice, Berry Pineapple Fluff.

3 Rivers Amateur Radio Club

The January meeting was cancelled because of weather and road conditions.

Elections for president and secretary for two-year terms were held at the February meeting, which occurred Tuesday, Feb. 14. Dues for 2017 are also due. The group meets monthly behind the cafe at the Kamiah KOA (former Lewis and Clark Resort) on U.S. Highway 12, two miles east of Kamiah at 6:30 p.m.
