— Two people have been arrested on felony drug charges following a joint operation between the sheriff’s offices in Idaho and Valley counties and the U.S. Postal Inspector Service.

Court dates are pending for Susan M. Corbin, 54, of Kooskia, arrested for possession of methamphetamine; and Dan McNeeley, age unavailable, of Valley County, arrested for delivery and possession of methamphetamine.

Charges resulted following an investigation initiated by the U.S. Postal Inspector Service regarding suspicion of drugs passing through the mail from McCall to Kooskia, according to an ICSO release.

ICSO Sgt. Brian Hewson worked with Postal Inspector Darin Solmon and Valley County Detective Joe Mokhtarani to investigate the suspicion provided to investigators Feb. 14. Two days later, Solomon received a search warrant and confirmed drugs were being mailed to Corbin.

Inspector Solmon arranged for the mail to be delivered to the Kooskia Post Office where it was picked up by Corbin, according to ICSO. Corbin was release from the Idaho County Jail after the posting of a $10,000 bond.

After Corbin's arrest, Valley County served a search warrant at the McNeeley residence, and McNeeley was subsequently arrested on felony charges.
