Pioneer Senior Citizens

Hilda Nuttman opened the Dec. 20 meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance and Larry Clark led the dinner prayer. There were 31 meals served with 24 home-deliveries.

Vern Uhlorn won the free meal. Larry Clark, Dolores Clark and Chris Remacle each shared a joke with the group. Door prize winners were Larry Clark, Elred Nuxoll, Loycie Sonnen, Jim Beckman, Irene Terhaar and Carol Altman. Each person present received a bag of goodies from the Senior Nutrition Program.

Come join us for a meal every Tuesday for a small donation at the Pioneer Senior Center in the Cottonwood Community Hall basement. Meals are served at noon.

Menu for Jan. 10: Hungarian Goulash, Cabbage, Peach Crisp.

3 Rivers Amateur Radio Club

We would like to thank the Pizza Factory in Kamiah for hosting our Christmas celebration. Although attendance was down due to the weather and road conditions, those who attended reported having a good time and complemented the Pizza Factory employees on their service.

Elections for president and secretary for two-year terms will take place at the January meeting. The next meeting will be Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the meeting room behind the cafe at the Kamiah KOA (former Lewis and Clark Resort) on U.S. Highway 12, two miles east of Kamiah at 6:30 p.m. License examinations will be given at 5:30 p.m.
