Cottonwood News: Tri-Parish picnic set for July 30

Donna Wassmuth Cottonwood 962-3561

— Happy 4th of July! This week we celebrate the legacy that our forefathers left us over 200 hundred years ago. It worked for them and still works for us.

With the good weather, haying is progressing nicely. Some farmers will be done soon. I hope everyone is having a great summer without accidents.

We now have four ducks that live out at the pond. They are fun to watch. The baby Says Phoebe birds flew from the nest. We still have a Purple Martin nest on the porch with babies in it. They get very nervous when our company sits on the porch to visit. We have visitors from Illinois this week. So, lots of fun going on at our house.

Tri-Parish Picnic and Mass in the Park will be held Sunday, July 30, Cottonwood City Park. Mass will begin at 11 a.m., and barbecue follows immediately after Mass. Bring a salad or dessert. If you want a beverage other than punch please bring your own beverage and a lawn chair.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd preschool classes will begin this fall. If you would like to sign up your preschooler at Summit Academy or the Tri-Parish PFFP, contact Julie Sonnen for Summit Academy, 962-5650 or Heather Uhlenkott for Tri-Parish PFFP, 962-7098.
