LOWELL / SYRINGA Hot, dusty, the rivers are starting to come down, only a few more weeks of whitewater, ATVs everywhere, motorcycles on their runs along Highway 12, campfires every evening; it’s summertime fun in Lowell!
Richard and Sally Paddison are enjoying another 4th of July at their beautiful home on the Selway, a fun couple who love to entertain. Couple of their friends went for a Lochsa whitewater trip last Saturday.
The Mike Smith, Jr. family took a Clearwater float trip on Friday with friends Robert Millage and family. They came, they conquered and they came home with everything full of sand!
It’s a busy season upriver. River Dance Lodge is full of guests, Wilderness Inn is open all day and they have lots of groups coming and going, and Three Rivers Resort and Rafting is having a record season this spring and summer.
A couple of Salvage Timber sales close by will beef up the local economy as well.
Miss Martha and Miss Ella Smith gave themselves a facial wrap one night last week. They asked me what I thought, and I said you took years off those 14 and 13 year old faces! You look more like 10 and 11 now.
