Grangeville Senior Citizens

GRANGEVILLE — The June 26 meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Stanley Modrell and the prayer given by Tom Helmick. Linda Orcutt won the free dinner drawing. There were 67 meals served at the site and 34 home delivered. Shirley Crane shared a story.

Pinochle winners: 1st, Marilyn Burris with 6,866; 2nd, Eileen Hazelbaker.

Stanley Modrell opened the June 30th meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the prayer was given by Tom Helmick. The free dinner drawing was won by Charlene Schumacher. Ther were 87 meals at the site and 39 hot and 53 frozen meals delivered.

Pinochle winners: 1st., Gary Crea with 4,270; 2nd, Jane Burgess with 4,260.

Menu: July 7th: Sweet & Sour Meatballs, Rice, Oriental Vegetables, Watermelon and Birthday Cake. July 10th: Chili con Carne, (or Beef Stew), Green Salad w/Buttermilk Dressing, Apple Compote and Cinnamon Roll.

Pioneer Senior Citizens

COTTONWOOD — Agnes Forsman opened the June 27 meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance and Elred Nuxoll led the dinner prayer.

There were 55 meals served with 24 takeouts. Vera Holthaus won the free dinner. Katie Remacle shared a joke with the group. Dolores Kindall won both the nickel Bingo pot and the blackout.

Door prize winners were Barbara Rehder, Dolores Kindall, Ivan Nuxoll, Elaine Schumacher, Buddy Hood, Reggie Kaschmitter, Sylvia Forsmann, Elred Nuxoll and Sharalyn Forsmann.

Seniors wanting to go to Lewiston to shop or to doctor’s appointments and don’t want to drive, call Coast driver Katie Manifold at 451-4090.

Menu for July 11: German Sausage, Oven Roasted Potatoes & Carrots, Coleslaw, Breadstick, Peaches, Pudding.
