Clearwater’s Elk City Wagon Road Days names raffle, parade, quilt winners

— There were lots of winners in several events at the Elk City Wagon Road Celebration in Clearwater on Saturday, July 15. It was a very warm day but many participants enjoyed the day and the events.

The raffle winners were: Savage 30-06 rifle winner was Bill Dillard of Oregon (Sonny Weddle of Kamiah picked the gun up for Bill); Ruger 10-22 rifle winner was Jake Wasson of Kooskia; Quilt winner was Holly Montgomery of Clearwater; Hooked wool pillow winner was Trudy Bly.

Parade winners were: Classiest Car winner- Al and Alice Humphrey; Youngest rider - Lance Hunter - 2 years old; Oldest group- Granny band with the Opera House float; Fantastic float - Opera House; Novelty entry- Vacation Bible School of First Baptist Church; Judges Choice- Mountain Dewers Square Dancers; Special Honor entry- (in memory of Leslie Lynn, long time Clearwater resident) Friends and Family of Leslie Lynn.

Quilt and Hooked Rug winners were: Quilt lst place Arlene Thomas, Kamiah; 2nd place Arlene Thomas, Kamiah; 3rd place- Carole BonAnno, Kooskia; 4th place Diane McLean, Clearwater; Hooked Rug: 1st - Carla Jensen, Stites; 2nd - Trudy Bly Lewiston; 3rd- Carla Jensen, Stites.
