It's Your Business: Vote for ‘ARF’ in contest

Idaho Sewing for Sports will be host to an open house Friday, Aug. 11, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The business is located in Mount Idaho (address 7 Poplar Drive, Grangeville). Live music will be accompanied by cookies, iced tea and lemonade.

There’s a contest for local charities through Rogers Toyota in Lewiston, and you can vote for ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation) to help them win $5,000.

You have until Aug. 31 to vote and you can vote daily. Go to and click on the ARF logo.

Pine Tree Community Credit Union will host its Customer Appreciation Barbecue Friday, Aug. 4, in Grangeville and Riggins, with lunch served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Effective July 24, Potlatch Corporation announced no campfires or open burning will be allowed on its property in the State of Idaho due to increasing fire danger in the region. The burning ban on Potlatch’s Idaho properties will remain in effect until conditions improve. Additional information about Potlatch’s Idaho properties can be found online at
