Lowell / Syringa News: Not a drop of rain

Marie Smith 208-926-0803

— Three guys, sitting around the campfire, one named Cash, one named Buck, and the third named Rich, does this reek of money: Cash, Buck, and Rich! Lowell is such a great little town!

We are off the Lochsa and heading for the Upper Selway — five days going through the wilderness and coming out at Selway Falls, 20 miles above Lowell.

Last weekend, a wedding at Syringa, a wedding at Wilderness Gateway and a memorial up on the Selway River. All went well. No fires close, no rain, not a drop!

We did see Lifeflight helicopter land on Sunday, but never got news of who or where!

This is the time of year everybody has company, and our gardens are looking like real gardens.

Max says: “It’s too hot, I’m just going to stay inside and watch Backyardigans!”
