Women’s flycasting course set



Kelly Creek Flycasters and Idaho Fish and Game wil co-sponsor a women's fly fishing clinic that includes classroom sessions at the Fish and Game office on 16th Street, Lewiston, casting lessons at the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds on Burrell Ave, Lewiston, and a weekend fishing trip on the North Fork Clearwater River.

The fee for the clinic is $75, and it's designed for beginning and novice fly anglers.

The classroom and casting sessions will be held Aug. 23, Aug. 30 and Sept. 6. The fishing trip will be held Sept. 8-10. Young women ages 14-17 are welcome if they are accompanied by a participating adult.

The clinic will cover all aspects of fly fishing: gear, knots, stream entomology, fish habitat/reading the river skills, conservation and fly casting skills.
