Be sure to stop by the United Methodist Church this Sunday, June 11, and bid a fond farewell to Pastor Barbara Essen, who is retiring as minister. She is sticking around Grangeville and I’m glad as she is an asset to the area. She was such an inspiration when my mom was in the hospital. I appreciate her prayers and visits.
Did you know June 6 was national drive-in movie day? There are 322 active drive-ins across the USA. Celebrate this week by gong to our very own Sunset Auto Vue on Mount Idaho Grade Road. I live close to the drive-in and I really enjoy looking out and seeing young people down there tossing a football and hearing laughter and happy voices.
Grangeville’s Summer Concert Series, sponsored by Grangeville Arts, Inc., and the Grangeville Chamber of Commerce (and wonderful support by our area’s great community members) is set to begin July 13 with Gipsy Moon. Additional Thursdays will feature Jon and Rand on July 20; the Moscow Mules on July 27 and The Hitmen on Aug. 3. More on this in the coming weeks, but it looks like a great lineup!
Did you know Cottonwood’s The Tire Guy is now offering 24/7 roadside service? Call 962-3241.
Be sure to look at the Summer Steals in this week’s Shopper, page 3.
Remember, the River to River phone book deadline is June 28. Call now (983-1200) for any changes or to advertise.
