— It’s like a circus around here, oh wait, we did have a circus around here! The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus members went rafting on the Lochsa with Marty and Dani Smith at Three Rivers Rafting. They also enjoyed the company of circus friends Mike and Lara Smith, of Lowell, and Jay and Kristin Stewart visiting the Smiths from Cape Cod. The day was exciting, an Upper Selway River trip launched, without a glitch, and the Keith, Debbie and Charlene Evans group of rafters from Kamiah headed out for the whitewater trip on the Lochsa, and then came the circus! The Smith sisters, of Lowell also went along, Miss Martha, Miss Ella and Miss Ruthie (her first time on the Lochsa for whitewater) and all the girls loved it. Hopefully they become guides instead of running off with the circus!! Miss Maddie will be old enough to go in a few years!

Donn Gibbs and Kelly Brooks and guests, who are our neighbors here in Lowell, went out on the Lochsa last Monday. The sun was shining, the river was a perfect level, and Three Rivers Rafting enjoyed taking them out!

A wedding in Syringa, the bride was Mikel Harrington and the groom Jason Sears. The guests said most beautiful setting ever, once again at Terry and Becky’s place! With lovely ponds and landscaping to die for! How lucky we are to have such a great spot for special occasions!

I taught Max how to make coleslaw for the river lunches. He does a good job but eats the carrots faster than the KitchenAid can shred them.
