Youth golf clinic scheduled for July
GRANGEVILLE — Grangeville Golf & Country Club is offering a youth golf clinic 9-11 a.m. July 10-13, for boys and girls ages 6-15. Instruction will be given in the basics of beginning golf. Clubs will be available, and a snack and beverage will be offered at the end of each session. Early registration opened June 19, with a fee of $30 per golfer. From July 2 through the day of the clinic the registration fee will be $35. Forms are available at B&B Bargain or at the country club. ‘Capped’ elk resident tags on sale July 10
Resident hunters wanting to purchase a general season elk tag in a ‘capped’ zone will want to review this year’s seasons and rules booklet for changes on how tags will be sold in July.
All resident capped elk zone tags, except for the Sawtooth Zone, go on sale at 10 a.m. (MDT) on July 10 at Fish and Game offices, license vendors, or with a credit card by going online to https://idfg.idaho.gov, or by calling (800) 554-8685.

Winchester rodeo runs June 30-July 2
WINCHESTER – Organizers have lined up 350 local and professional contestants for this year’s Winchester Open Rodeo to be held this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 30-July 2, at the Arena In The Pines, 1851 Benedict Rd., in Winchester.
Admission is $10 per adult or $5 for kids and veterans.
The Friday rodeo begins at 4 p.m.
Saturday’s events include a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. followed by the rodeo at 12:30 p.m, with Winchester Days fireworks at the lake that evening.
Sunday’s events include cowboy breakfast at 9:30 a.m. and the rodeo at 12:30 p.m.
This year’s court is queen Mckenzie and princesses Codi and Meghan.
The Grand Marshall is Adam Schatz and the rodeo stock provider is Borba Rodeo Co. out of Eureka, Nevada.
