Grangeville Senior Center

Feb. 20 – pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Barbara Essen; free dinner, Frank Hausladen; meals at site: 66 with 32 home-delivered; guests: Michael Carin, Kent Mitchell, Airy George.

Feb. 24 – pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Shirley Crane; free dinner, Cory Stowers; meals at site: 91 with 36 hot and 53 frozen home-delivered; guest: Gerry Hayes; pinochle winners: 1, Stanley Modrell;, 2, Eileen Hazelbaker.

Menu: March 3 – Happy Birthday, baked fish fillet/tartar sauce, potato wedge, stewed tomatoes, broccoli/cauliflower, peaches, apple cake;

March 6 – chicken teriyaki, rice, peas, green salad/buttermilk dressing, carrifruit salad.

Pioneer Senior Citizens

Dolores Von Bargen opened the Feb. 21 meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance and gave the dinner prayer. There were 50 meals served and 20 takeouts. Ron Sonnen won the free dinner.

Hilda Nuttman shared a couple of jokes with the group and Anna Gehring also shared one. Eileen Hazelbaker won the nickel Bingo pot and Alta Clark won the blackout. Door prize winners were Irene Terhaar, Ivan Nuxoll, Dolores Kindall, Dina Nuxoll, Doris Sonnen and Joanne Sonnen.

Come join us for a meal every Tuesday for a small donation at the Pioneer Senior Center in the Cottonwood Community Hall basement. Meals are served at noon.

Menu for March 7: Tater Tot Casserole, Steamed Broccoli, Tossed Vegetable Salad with Orange Vinaigrette, Peaches.
