Free lunch set for March 9 in Kamiah

KAMIAH — The March free Community Free Soup canteen will be served Thursday, March 9, at the Presbyterian Church in Kamiah at 7th and Hill Streets. Corned beef and cabbage soup will be featured, as well as rolls and dessert Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The meal is free to everyone and is handicap accessible.

CVHS Drama sets comedy-musical, Guys and Dolls Jr., for March 16-17

KOOSKIA – Guys and Dolls Jr., a lighthearted comedy musical, will be presented Thursday and Friday, March 16-17, by the Clearwater Valley High School Drama Department at the Clearwater Valley High School auditorium at 7 p.m. both nights. Admission is $5, and cupcakes will be sold for $1 during intermission.

FFA banquet set for Cottonwood March 14

COTTONWOOD — The third annual Prairie FFA Banquet is set for the Cottonwood Hall Monday, March 14. Doors will open at 5 p.m., with silent auction to follow, and a tri-tip dinner at 6 p.m. Cost is $10 per person at the door. Everyone is welcome!

Clearwater Meal Center luncheon set for Wednesday, March 15

CLEARWATER – The Clearwater Meal Center’s next luncheon is set for Wednesday, March 15, noon. Meals are served the first and third Wednesdays of each month at the Clearwater Baptist Church. No charge for the luncheon, $5 donation appreciated when possible. All are welcome. Call 926-7776.

Youth Fun Day on Saturday, March 25, in Grangeville

GRANGEVILLE – A Youth Fun Day, free for kids ages 17 and younger, will be held Saturday, March 25, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., at the Grangeville Elks Lodge, 111 South Meadow Street. Games and prizes will be featured, along with bicycle safety and drug awareness programs from the Grangeville Police Department. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Give blood at local sites

Several upcoming blood-giving opportunities are available through the Red Cross. Make an appointment by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Senior Fun Night breakfast is March 19

GRANGEVILLE – The Eagles Breakfast for Grangeville High School’s Senior Fun Night is set for Sunday, March 19, 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Everyone is encouraged to attend and support local kids.

Chocolate Fantasy set for March 18

GRANGEVILLE – Sts. Peter and Paul School’s annual Chocolate Fantasy auction is set for Saturday, March 18, at the school gym. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner served at 6 p.m. Also included will be desserts and champagne with a live auction at 7:30 p.m. Dinner will be catered by Stephanie Duclos with “A Taste of Art.”

Cost is $30 per person in advance or $35 at the door. Tickets are available at Lindsley’s Home Furnishings, Irwin Drug and the school.

Parent teacher conferences set for March 22, 23

KOOSKIA – Clearwater Valley Junior Senior High will have parent teacher conferences March 22 and 23 from 4 to 7:30 p.m.

There will be no school on March 24 and spring break is scheduled March 27 through 31. School resumes April 3.

TLC4Vets to host dinner March 17

GRANGEVILLE — Trinity Lutheran Church’s TLC4Vets and Military Families will be hosting their monthly meal at the Idaho County Veterans Outreach Center on Friday, March 17 at 5 p.m. In honor of Saint Patrick’s day the meal will be a traditional Irish meal of corned beef and cabbage with all the fixings.

Anyone who has ever served or is currently serving in the United States military is welcome to attend with their family members. If you have a family member who is currently deployed you are also welcome.

Idaho County Fair royalty presents Princess Tea Party

COTTONWOOD – The Idaho County Fair royalty will offer a princess tea party to girls 4-years-old through fourth grade.

The tea party will be Sunday, March 19, at the Cottonwood City Hall at 1 p.m. Cost is $8 and the girls must be accompanied by an adult.
