Grangeville Senior Center

Feb. 27 – pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Tom Helmick, free dinner, Alta Clark; meals at site: 62 with 32 home-deliveries.

March 3 – pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Barbara Essen; free dinner, Roberta Simonsen; meals at site: 77 with 37 hot and 53 frozen home-deliveries; pinochle: 1, Mel Willis 4850, 2, Beth Parrish 4180; other: Harry Krebs birthday.

Menu: March 13 – barbecued beef on bun, green beans, baby carrots, fruit salad; March 10 – deep-dish pizza, salad greens/balsamic vinegar dressing, peaches.

Pioneer Senior Citizens

Hilda Nuttman opened the Feb. 28 meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance and Larry Clark gave the dinner prayer. Guests this week were the fiddlers. There were 54 meals served and 20 takeouts. Dolores VonBargen won the free dinner.

Katie Remacle won the nickel Bingo pot and Hilda Nuttman and Remacle won the blackout. Door prize winners were Marge Lamb, Francis Ellsworth, Lenora Hill, Emelia Frei, Susie McPherson, Theresa Sonnen and Norma Schumacher.

Come join us for a meal every Tuesday for a small donation in the Cottonwood Community Hall basement. Meals are served at noon.
