RIGGINS This week’s quote is my own. “Every day is a gift in which to share love and joy, laughter and life with family, friends, and others that you meet along the way…a birthday is a special day to gather family and friends together to celebrate the joys and love of life and make more precious memories.” I will celebrate my 70th birthday this Friday, March 10. Wow! How can that be? I’ve been told that 70 is the new 50…. I believe that! I remember my dad telling me at the age of 85, “Do all your traveling in your 50s and 60s; the 70s will take care of themselves; and the 80s ain’t what they’re cracked up to be!” He lived to be a few months past 94. I took him at his word and did travel and play…and now, I look forward to what the 70s will bring…one day at a time. I have lots left to do in my life and I plan to keep keeping on.
